Julia Zhang is Chief Risk Officer for Equitable Holdings and a member of its Management Committee. In this role, she ensures that the company’s disciplined approach to risk management helps drive business growth in a manner that delivers value for shareholders and clients.  

Ms. Zhang has spent nearly two decades with Equitable. Prior to becoming Chief Risk Officer, Ms. Zhang served as Treasurer of Equitable Holdings, overseeing the company’s capital and liquidity management, dividend and funding strategy, and banking and rating agency relationships. She also serves as a director and Chief Financial Officer for multiple Equitable Holdings subsidiaries.

Ms. Zhang is a member of the company’s Capital and Liquidity, Hedging and Investment and Risk steering committees. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). Ms. Zhang earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Finance from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Master of Arts in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University.
