The California State Disability Insurance program provides short-term Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave wage replacement benefits to eligible workers who need time off work. ​

  • Employee paid​
  • Inclusive of Paid Family Leave (PFL) cost​

 

Paid Family Leave

Qualifying Leave Reasons

  • Bond with a new child (birth, adoption, or foster care (placement)
  • Care for a seriously ill family member
  • Participate in a qualifying event because of a spouse’s, registered domestic partner’s, parent’s, or child’s military deployment to a foreign country
