Erik Bass
Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Investor Relations
Erik Bass serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Investor Relations for Equitable Holdings and is a member of the company’s Operating Committee. He leads enterprise strategy, which includes advising on capital allocation and identifying and incubating new sources of revenue. Additionally, as Head of Investor Relations, Erik is responsible for communicating the company’s financial performance and value proposition to the market and maintaining and expanding relationships with investors, analysts and rating agencies.
Prior to joining Equitable, Erik worked as a financial analyst and covered the U.S. life insurance sector for nearly two decades. Most recently, he served as the lead U.S. life insurance analyst and U.S. Director of Research at Autonomous Research, AllianceBernstein’s sell-side research subsidiary, overseeing research coverage across all sectors. Prior to joining Autonomous, he was the U.S. life insurance analyst for Citigroup. He also spent eleven years at J.P. Morgan Securities working in both private banking and equity research.
Erik was recognized by Institutional Investor as one of the top analysts covering U.S. life insurance on several occasions. He also served as President of the Association of Insurance and Financial Analysts (AIFA) from 2017-2018.
Erik has a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University and is a CFA charterholder.
