Gina Tyler is Chief Communications Officer for Equitable Holdings and a member of the company’s Operating Committee. In this role, Ms. Tyler leads the company’s Impact and Engagement Office, which sets enterprise strategy for communications, stakeholder engagement and initiatives that drive value for employees, clients and communities. This includes overseeing strategic communications for Equitable Holdings and its subsidiaries, developing corporate and financial communications strategies that enhance the company's reputation and inform and engage key stakeholders. She is also responsible for cultivating a high-performing and connected workforce at Equitable through the company’s ESG strategy, holistic well-being program and strategic approach to employee engagement, and she oversees strategy, partnerships and grantmaking for the Equitable Foundation, the company’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which has an endowment of more than $100 million.
Ms. Tyler joined Equitable Holdings in 2017 and played an integral role in the company’s separation from AXA Group, leading communications for Equitable Holdings’ 2018 public listing as well as shaping the independent company's new brand, operating principles and communications infrastructure.
Ms. Tyler has more than two decades of strategic communications experience, having built and protected some of the world’s most recognized brands. Prior to joining Equitable, she served as Vice President of Public Relations and Communications at TIAA and was a member of its Senior Leadership Team. She also held senior communications roles at Hewlett-Packard, BearingPoint, AT&T, and Dow Jones & Company.
